Do Knapsack, handheld and pedestrian equipment need to be tested under the NSTS scheme…..
- Every 5 years
- Yes, if it has a battery powered pump
- Yes, if holding capacity greater than 15 litres
- No, but must be checked on a regular basis and a record of inspection kept.
Unlike self-propelled sprayers; Knapsack sprayers, Pedestrian and handheld sprayers do not need to be inspected under the NSTS scheme but must be inspected by a competent person on a regular basis with any faults being repaired and an inspection record kept.
