Sean Loakes
UK Turf Technical Manager
A qualified biologist, Sean has had a career in environmental science and research through practical field trials and laboratory studies, primarily focused on pesticide efficacy and best practice.
Sean’s role ensures UK turf mangers are best placed to implement new ideas and innovations from Syngenta turf R&D into practical integrated turf management programmes.
Glenn Kirby
Regional Turf Technical Manager
Glenn has 30 years’ experience in the turf management industry, including the challenges of managing many golf courses in varying climates and situations.
His practical grounding in the industry gives him a strong understanding of what modern turf managers need to know. That’s invaluable in Glenn’s role of technical support and on-course R&D for the Syngenta turf business, to deliver practical solutions across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Daniel Lightfoot
Western Europe and Italy
Daniel is currently the Commercial Head – Europe North West at Syngenta Professional Solutions, a unique and exciting part of the business which focuses on Turf and Landscape, Pest Management and Ornamentals.
Before Syngenta, he held the position of Golf Course Manager at Bearwood Lakes Golf Club. During this time completing a Master’s Degree in Sports Surface Technology. Daniel also achieved a Master Greenkeeper status which is one of the most highly recognised qualifications in the golf industry. And was awarded the title of Class A Superintendent from the GCSAA.
Prior to this role Daniel was a Lecturer in Turf Management at Merrist Wood College. Teaching all levels of green keeping.
