Augusta looking awesome

BBC Augusta pageIt may be wet and miserable outside here, but Augusta has been looking magical for the Masters this week. It's a great sight, for what we hope will be an epic battle if Rory can get back at Patrick Reed. What has been really great to see is the credit given to the greenkeeeping team at Augusta in their preparations for the event. BBC Reporter, Ken Brown, has produced a short piece looking at the course presentation, and his verdict? - it's in the "best condition" he's ever seen, with fast greens and perfect weather contributing to "absolute heaven" on the golf course. You can watch his video here. One of these days I'm going to make the effort and get Stateside to experience Augusta during Masters week for myself. And as we look forward to the World's biggest golf event that's coming to Le Golf National in France in September, let's hope that all the media continue to recognise the great job that greenkeeping teams do. To follow Le Golf National as they prepare for, first, the French Open in June and then, just three months later, The Ryder Cup, we've also created a dedicated website - the Turf Team Challenge . The website will give a fascinating insight to the greenkeeping team's perspective and everything that goes into the build-up - when it gets to its full 180 strong international turf team, of which I'm looking forward to being a part. Take a look at the website and let me know if there's any topics you would like to see covered and to hear what is planned for the course.
