It should not be stored in the chemical store or permanently on a sprayer. Correct storage is vitally important to ensure the risk of cross contamination is eliminated.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This is a legal requirement and covered under the PPE at work regulations 1992.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>As part of the NSTS sprayer testing scheme PPE storage facilities should be inspected when the sprayer is tested<\/em>,<em> I&#8217;m not sure how seriously this is taken in the UK and I&#8217;m often surprised by how little attention is paid to this subject.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Disposal of PPE used for pesticide applications is equally important and it should be treated as contaminated waste and disposed of by a reputable waste disposal contractor.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/pesticides\/resources\/C\/Code_of_Practice_for_using_Plant_Protection_Products_-_Section_5.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Code of practice disposal advice page 7<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/pUbns\/priced\/l25.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PPE at work Regs 92 page 18<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hse.gov.uk\/pesticides\/resources\/C\/Code_of_Practice_for_using_Plant_Protection_Products_-_Section_3.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Code of Practice Page 22<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsts.org.uk\/Portals\/1\/Images\/Banners\/Operator%20Check%20Sheet%202020%20Revised.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NSTS checklist<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Try your luck with the other Application Quiz questions <a href=\"https:\/\/greencastadvisory.com\/category\/application-quiz\/\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve worked with ICL to develop an Online quiz (link here) to help support you guys and girls out there spraying &#8211; in this blog series I intend to go through each question, give you an in depth answer and a few useful links.
