{"id":1300,"date":"2021-10-08T13:39:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-08T13:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greencastadvisory.com\/blog\/can-we-go-yet\/"},"modified":"2022-08-23T14:09:02","modified_gmt":"2022-08-23T14:09:02","slug":"can-we-go-yet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greencastadvisory.com\/fr\/blog\/can-we-go-yet\/","title":{"rendered":"Can we go yet?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It feels like the whole of the last month I&rsquo;ve been telling people to be patient and wait but has the time finally come when we can begin to apply Acelepryn?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Well looking at this weeks PestTracker reported sightings I&rsquo;d say we&rsquo;re getting pretty close now and as a general rule in 2021 I&rsquo;d be aiming for an application in the last 2 weeks of October.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/greencastadvisory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6257\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It looks to me like 2021 has followed a very similar pattern to 2020 and 2019 with hatching starting around the last week of August, peaking mid September and fizzling out through October.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A frightening 6 &#8211; 8 weeks of potential egg laying on your putting surfaces.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/greencastadvisory.com\/2021\/08\/20\/optimum-timing-of-acelepryn\/\">timing trials<\/a> we did last year we saw improved results when we aimed for Acelepryn applications one month after peak flight. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For most of the trialists that was around the last week of October to first week of November.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It&rsquo;s easy to get caught up in the exact detail with this kind of advice and think there is an exact day when we&rsquo;ll get the best results out of it. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>That&rsquo;s really not the case and the month after peak flight advice is just about pushing application towards a mid to late October, even early November application. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Each site would have had its own individual peak and some are even still reporting a hive of activity, so use your knowledge of what has happened on your site to guide your timings but as a general rule I&rsquo;d be looking at the best spray day in the last 2 weeks of October.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The next question I get asked is &#8211; I haven&rsquo;t seen any yet should I still apply Acelepryn? <a href=\"https:\/\/greencastadvisory.com\/2021\/10\/08\/i-havent-seen-any-cranefly-should-i-still-apply-aceleprn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I deal with that one here<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It feels like the whole of the last month I&rsquo;ve been telling people to be patient and wait but has the time finally come when we can begin to apply Acelepryn?
